Sarah Xiyi Chen is a voting rights attorney and Skadden Fellow at the Texas Civil Rights Project based on Austin. Her voter suppression and redistricting litigation is firmly rooted in movement lawyering and supporting access to the ballot particularly for people of color, people with disabilities, and people in poverty. Although originally from California, Sarah has previously lived and worked in Fort Worth and San Antonio, including on Wendy Davis’s 2014 gubernatorial race. She attended Princeton University and the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law.
