Free Community Health Fair
Health screenings, vaccinations, food distribution and school supplies!
Austin Public Health and Collaborators – Austin Asian Community Health Initiative and Asian American Resource Center are back again to offer our communities another round of important and FREE health services, swag, food and more!
The goal is to raise awareness about preventive health care and make available the many services/resources to our Asian/Asian American Pacific Islander communities and other diverse communities that may not ordinarily have access. As you may be aware the pandemic highlighted and exacerbated the many health disparities and barriers that exist in all of our communities especially those of color. The biggest barrier to adequate health care we have witnessed in accessing any service for migrants, immigrants, and refugees is language.
Come out this Saturday to the community health fair hosted by Austin Public Health @austinpublichealth and the Asian American Community Health Initiative @aachi.tx 💌
When: July 22nd from 10 am - 2 pm
Where: Asian American Resource Center at 8401 Cameron Rd, Austin, TX 78754
Free health services available (no appointment necessary) - bring your own shot records, first come, first serve. Services include: health screenings, vaccines, eye testing, glucose and cholesterol testing (fasting required).
Services are available in Burmese, Nepali, Pashto, Dari and Arabic. We'll be tabling so come out to learn more about our services for Asian and immigrant survivors in Central TX - see you there! 🥳
